Roof Restoration, Waterproofing & Brick Replacement

This project involved comprehensive roof restoration, waterproofing, brick replacement, coping stone restoration, and skylight replacement to improve the building’s weather resistance, durability, and overall exterior condition.

The work included preparation and restoration of deteriorated roof and masonry areas, removal and replacement of damaged brickwork, and repair of masonry joints using Spec-Mix mortar to provide a durable and compatible restoration system. Areas requiring additional protection were waterproofed using Sika Thorocoat®️-400, providing a weather-resistant coating designed to help protect the building envelope from moisture penetration.

The roof restoration also included the application of GacoFlex S4200/S4222 roofing system to create a continuous waterproofing membrane across designated roof areas, helping protect against water infiltration and extending the service life of the roof assembly.

Additional work included the restoration and installation of coping stone, with attention to proper drainage, transitions, and waterproofing details to help prevent water from entering behind the masonry and roof edge. Three skylights were also installed/replaced, including proper waterproofing and detailing around the skylight openings to provide a watertight connection with the surrounding roof system.
